Introducing: Text Message Updates With The ETA Of Your Delivery!

Hello Intercity Insiders! We heard what you have been saying about wanting to have more notice for deliveries and now we can make that a reality. We are introducing a brand new system that will send you text message updates  with the ETA of your delivery.


How does it work?


It is simple, when you enter your order make sure  to enter your cell phone number during checkout. On the morning of your delivery day, you will receive a text message containing a 1-hour window of when our delivery driver is scheduled to arrive at your address.


Next, you will receive a reminder text message once your delivery is 15 minutes away.  Our driver will still be calling you to make sure you are there to receive your package, unless you provide other instructions. Once the delivery is complete, you will receive a confirmation text message.

I have received the text message with my delivery’s arrival time, but was wondering if I could change it?


To be more in line with our sustainability policy and build the most efficient route, once the delivery route is set up, no changes can be made to the delivery schedule.


What if I am not home when my delivery arrives?


Your order needs to be kept cool, so if you are not home and do not answer when our delivery team arrives, you will get a message that says delivery is not completed. Your items will be brought back to our Richmond facility. If you receive a cancellation text message, please contact us right away at sales@shopintercity.ca.


In your email please write in the subject line missed delivery and we will contact you back right away with a solution. Be aware though that if we have to make another trip to your home there will be a $15 re-delivery fee. If you would like to come visit us to pickup your items from our location in Richmond, it is FREE!



What if I don’t have a cell phone number?


No worries! If you do not have a cell phone number, please let us know after placing your order and we will give a note to our delivery team, so they know to call you before they arrive at your home.
