Intercity Custom Meats - The Certified Angus Beef® Fresh Porterhouse Steak is a well-marbled cut that consists of two incredible steaks in one - the strip and tenderloin, which you may know as a New York steak and Filet Mignon - connected by a telltale T-shaped bone. When cooked, the T-bone adds robust flavour to both steaks on either side. Truly one of the best steak experiences.
To be considered a Porterhouse steak, the tenderloin is 1 1/4 inch or larger in diameter. If the tenderloin is smaller than that, the steak is considered a T-Bone steak. Porterhouse steaks are cut from the rear end of the short loin and thus include more tenderloin steak.
