Hello to the Shop Intercity Community.
Today we are celebrating the 1st anniversary of Shop Intercity. You may not have known that Shop Intercity was created in response to the effects of the pandemic. In all of Intercity Packers’ 49 year history, our business had not sold directly to the public. Instead, we were exclusively suppliers of premium proteins to hundreds of restaurants across Canada. Based on your incredible response and feedback you have given us, I would say gratefully, Shop Intercity is here to stay! This time last year, our store started with 8 bundle choices and thanks to your incredible feedback, we are now offering a rotating portfolio of over 100 high quality products to you.
Our business over time has been primarily the food service sector who have been devastated by the pandemic. Our company would not be here without them and we are so grateful for their business. These folks have been tremendously resilient through these incredibly tough times. This part of our industry needs our help when public health allows us to go back to restaurants indoor and outdoor. We certainly want to see our food service segment rebound in a profound way so they can all get healthy again.
So please support our restaurants and hotels when the time is right.
